The organisers of OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO have confirmed that Garmin will be the Official Timekeeper of the event taking place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March 2019.
Garmin will be featured as the Official Timekeeper in the lead up to and on race weekend, with the Garmin logo being prominent on the race clock of the lead car, the gantry, the results and the finishers’ diplomas. All registered runners will receive a discount voucher for Garmin products, and a team of runners from Garmin will also take part in the PrimeTel 5K Corporate Race.
The race’s partnership with such a well-respected brand in the running industry is a real reflection of its continuous growth on the global running scene. Now celebrating its 13th year, OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO attracts athletes from all over the world and last year welcomed its highest number of British athletes to date. The organisers work continuously to deliver the very best race experience and it is to their credit that so many return to #RunLimassol year after year.
In addition to the professional organisation and friendly atmosphere, OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO boasts a remarkably flat and fast course which is perfect both for novice runners and elite athletes seeking a PB. The course covers long stretches of traffic-free road including the spectacular coastal road of greater Limassol, rewarding runners with magnificent views over the sparkling Mediterranean. With a beautiful spring climate that’s ideal for running, Limassol is certainly a highly attractive location for runners wanting to enjoy a long weekend away with friends, family or fellow running club members.
With this in mind, the organisers have put in place a range of exclusive race packages for the benefit of overseas visitors. The #RunLimassolPlus package includes a 40% discount on race entry, official race technical t-shirt, the lowest accommodation rates across a range of budgets, pasta party pass, finisher’s photo, race pack delivery to the hotel and transportation to the start line. The race packages are extremely popular as they offer full peace of mind that everything is taken care of for race weekend.
OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO Race Director Andreas Spyrou commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Garmin as the Official Timekeeper for the 2019 OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO. We are committed to delivering a first-class race weekend for our runners and it is highly fitting that leading technology brand Garmin should be our Official Timekeeper. Now is a perfect time for runners to secure their place on the start line and save 20% on entry fees. We look forward to welcoming participants from the UK, Europe and beyond to Limassol in March.”
The 2019 OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO takes place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March.
